Why is it

that every time you come back here after a time away, you have to put your password in again. Most other sites you are signed in all the time, doesn't matter how many times you go away and come back, you are still signed in. Does anyone else find this annoying?

kitty it stays signed in for me as long as I don't hit the red x or turn the computer off.

It must be the way you go from one site to another.

It seems to be a timeing factor, as with other sites I can go away for the day and still be signed in when I come back and click on to them, but on here my nick comes up ok oncce I've put the first letter in, but I have to type in my password. It automatically does it the first time I sign in each day. or if I've turned the computer off.

That sounds a bit strange,you must be doing something different for it to do that.

I was looking today to see if there was anywhere to set it so you don't have to phisically log in each time yu;ve been away, but I couldn't find anything

i haven't had this problem whenever i've logged in. i made sure that i clicked the "remember me" box near the log in spot.

it only remembers you for a certain length of time. I hardly ever have to log in to Facebook and I have only ever had to log in once in Photobucket.

Guess it depends on how the owner has their security set up.

josie, I can sign in for the first time each day, then when I've been away for a while I have to type in my password again, my nic comes up ok. I can't remember if I ticked a box saying 'remember me' when I first joined nearly a year ago, and can't find it now, unless it's that little 'R' or box next to my nickname.
mallee, same here on Facebook, but PB I've had to log in a few times, yesterday in fact, and EMC I just go straight there too

Yer I find it irritating as well. I did put in a sugestion that we have the option to remain signed in. Maybe...hint hint..if someone else makes the same suggestion...they might take notice.

Rhope I've been thinking of that myself, ao will go and do that, as most other places you are automatically signed in when you open up their site, hopefully they will take the suggestion on board
