Topic: christmas comes early
i noticed last month that coles in ballarat put their christmas stock on the shelf (decorations etc) for sale. in the past stores use to put this type of stuff on the shelves closer to the event. has anyone else noticed this in their areas/stores? do you find in annoying?
josie, it gets earlier and earlier every year, it is in most of he shops here too, I noticed it a couple of weeks ago, and that was in SEPT. It's all to comercialised these days for my liking, very few people realy celebrate the real meaning of Christmas
if you think this is bad, coles put easter stuff out on boxing day last year. hey, i'm all for stores selling stuff, but this is crazy. don't worry, i did complain about how the stuff was out way too early. it was a case of do you mind waiting for us to get of christmas before we have to deal with easter. not happy jan!
I do the cleaning at Sam's Warehouse store 2 days a week and Christmas stuff has been in the store all year.
In June there was more stuff came in for people to celebrate "Christmas in July" and now there is so much Christmas stuff coming in that they are running out of storage space.
In a couple of weeks time there will loads of Halloween stuff coming in too.
It was the same last year.
Josie, we noticed that "Hot Cross Buns" were on sale on Boxing Day in both Safeways and Coles.
