Mr kitty does all the cooking here,he does all sorts of dishes , some aren't quite successful, but he does do a beautiful baked dinner, and lots of great stirfries and chinese type dishes, no wonder I'm puttin on weight
We sometimes have a meal at the RSL club, they have fantastic chinese, and their fish is to die for, other than that we don' eat out much except for a quick snack at a fast food place from time to time

I actually prefer Balinese food, to Japanese food, but I've been to some great Teppanyaki Restaurants

I used to go to a Japanese restaurant in Parramatta.

We now go to the Thai restaurant close to us. So much that we have been told we can use their holiday house in Thailand if we go over for a holiday.

I don't think I have tried Balinese food.

My granddaughter has just gone to Japan to work, she starts tomorrow in a Ski Resort (it was the 1998 Winter Olympics Ski Resort) in the restursant, so she will be eating lots of Japanese food I would imagine. And she will be speaking Japanese all the time, this is what she has been working towards since she left school last year. It's a great opportunity for her,

josie, it's very similar to Malaysian food, if you've tried that. Maybe a little milder, though.

they have fabulous satays, curries, rice dishes, seafood and salads.

now I'm making myself hungry!

mynick, you're making me hungry too I've never tried either Malaysian for Balinese food, or Japanese for that matter, even though we spent a week in Japan back in 1974, but I love Indian and Chinese dishes

hi kitty

I couldn't reply straightaway as I would've had gotten juice from a lovely big mango, all over my new keyboard

If you like Indian and Chinese food, I'm sure you'd also like Balinese or Malaysian food.

Can anybody tell me the name of the light, crisp batter used in some Japanese dishes? I was talking with a friend the other day and I couldn't remember what it is called
