What's the deal with picking on gays? My brother is gay and all of my family respect his choice of partners. I rib li'l miss muffet, but if anybody else did I would drop them like a sack of potatoes. Live and let live and let people express themselves in whatever way they like.

i dont mind gay people. i find them to be more loyal than straight people. i thought people got over the gay thing and accepted that gays have feelings the same as straight people do

their feelings are in different organs though

No problems here either, I've always found them to be the nicest people and as you said, very loyal and caring

They had to cancel the Gays carnival at Yackandandah this year because of community attitude to wards gays down here and as I found out last week they have some really nasty names for people who have friends and family that are gay.

farmer, what biggoted people!! That's the trouble with small communities, they don't like anything or anyone that's different.I've known a lot of gays, especially when I worked at the airport, and they were great guys, half of them you wouldn't even know they were gay.

I went to Yackandandah once and there is a shop there with antiques. Is that cranky old bugga still running it?

oh you too Rhope, I loved that little place, and that huge old barn of antiques . The bread shop there was fantastic with goodies to die for.

I couldn't believe it but a few years later there was an article featuring him in people magazine and he described himself as a nice fella. NO WAY! he was the crankiest person I have ever met

Had my motor bike accident not far from there and the ambulance called in there to give me a shot of some nice drug.

I can't remembeer if I saw the fellow running the place, but I remember I knocked something over, it was that crowded you could hardly swing a cat in there. We had called in there on our way to Bright with our car club, and we stopped there again on our way home, as we did on our own thing on our way home, and a few other people form our club also called in there, as we all love antique shops.
Hope you weren't badly hurt in your bike accident Rhope

Rude gruff thats sounds like him. I was in traction for three months but I had fun.

We went to Bright I think there used to be a maze there.

Farmer...it reminds me of the Farmer from Big Brother (David).

He talked about young country boys killing themselves because they were to afraid to come out.
Thats so so sad.

bellajoni,I didn't see David on Big Brother, but it's not only the gay boys in the country killing themselves, but I do know of one father that would prefer his son dead than people find out he had a gay son,it can be very lonely for guy people in the country, the smaller the community the worse it is.

I was surprised at how many gay guys there are at Orange in NSW. I guess the bigger the town the better it is.
