Parents Day

Due to the large amount of single parents out here in the real world, do you think we should have a day for them to celebrate?
The reason being that some kids do not have the chance to see the other parent, this could cause a lot of grief for some kids in feeling guily or confused about the missing parent. This could give them a chance to celebrate the parent they do have and give credit to the effort they have to put in, just like mums or dads day.???

good idea. i think that all parents single or otherwise deserve to be honoured. it's tough at times to be a parent and i have a husband so i can't imagine what it's like to be a single parent. from josie7

i think its an awesome idea to have a parents day, as a new single mum i totally agree!!!

Yes why not? there is mothers and fathers day so why not single parents day? there are so many single parents out there now, they deserve credit.

I am not a parent and we are all doing it tough but single parents have double the struggle and I salute you.

in asia they have 1 day which is called parents day. its a mixture of mothers and fathers day
